When using laser tubes, we will encounter two important parameters, namely duty cycle and the speed. Some software also writes duty cycle directly as power. The most visual indication of the amount of power is the amount of current.How to keep the current in the optimal working region is a very important point to prolong the service life of the laser tube.
Here with you to introduce the current settings of several commonly used power laser tubes.
The laser tube power shall be no more than 80W, and the current generally shall be no more than 20mA.
The laser tube power shall be no more than 80W~100W, and the current generally shall be no more than 25mA.
The laser tube power shall be no less than 100W, and the current shall be no more than 30mA.
It is recommended that different power laser tube with its matching laser power supply, do not blindly increase current or use higher power laser power supply for the sake of working efficiency.
Excessive current will not only increase the burden of the cooling system, but also lead to faster gas consumption of the laser tube. It will accelerate the aging of the laser tube and reduce the service life.
At the same time, due to the long-term operation under high current, the metal electrode will cause excessive sputtering, which will pollute the lens and gas in the cavity.
If a high-power laser power supply is used for a low-power laser tube, the duty cycle must be set according to the actual value of the ammeter, rather than the laser tube power.
Applicable current can not only keep your laser tube in a stable machining state, but also make the service life of the laser tube longer.
